Aaron’s work focuses on themes of memory, time and the fragility of human connection. In her current work, a variety of found wood becomes the primary vehicle for the content. The wood’s natural forms are burned, scarred, drilled or shot through with mirror shards. Printed and handwritten texts are utilized along with photolithography and oxidized metal. Aaron’s layered imagery is a metaphor for human perception and memories, the archeology of recollection.
