Jill Parisi's masterful prints are showcased in this exciting display of multicolored intaglio prints on lokta tissue weight paper and fiber reactive dye and acrylic ink on handmade overeaten abaca fiber. Colorful bursts of fur and feathers add different textures and colors. The papers are hand-cut and arranged in floral patterns with wire and entomology pins which allow them to float away from the base covered in feathers. This display technique translates the weightlessness and fine quality of the paper while also allowing light from behind to illuminate Parisi's colorful papers. The sculptures are built within a clear glass cloche creating a terrarium effect protecting the colorful and luscious environments Parisi creates.
